Publication and Release

It's DONE.

The past few weeks I proofread (again and again) the final formatted copy, making sure every "i" was dotted, every "t" crossed, and every kerning mishap adjusted for.

Today I submitted this final copy to the printers. As far as IngramSpark's database is concerned, my novel's official publication date is today!

This doesn't mean the process is done. Ingram still has to review the files and ensure everything looks good. I'll be going through the same process elsewhere to make the book available on Amazon.

But this is the part of the process where you can say "publication" is done—now we're in the "go to print" phase.

I'm anxious to get this book into your hands and into the hands of my Kickstarter backers. After I've reviewed the printed copy, ensuring everything is perfect, I'll order the shipment of books that will ultimately arrive at my backers' doors.

Backers can expect to get the printed books either later this month or in early March, depending on shipping and other variables—but I'm doing all that I can to get them into my backers' hands by the end of February.

I'll be publishing the EPUB formatted version later this month once the print versions are submitted. You can expect me to mention when the novel comes available through various retailers.

Thank you to the Kickstarter backers who've helped make this possible. Writing this book has been a 15-year journey. It feels strange to be giving this story the final send off. There's a part of me that is nervous, excited, and more—I've had to resist the urge to last-minute changes. But I'm thankful to have you with me on this journey.

To publication!
